Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her aid and dedication to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) expert services during an engagement along with the company's senior professionals at a strategic preparing session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled in the 2024 matric exams.

Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% in the registered pupils within the education sector.

These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.

"This means that the investment decision government is earning while in the lives of weak and susceptible youngsters is yielding a good effect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe mentioned.

Reflecting on latest achievements, the Minister highlighted crucial milestones and ongoing priorities. She committed to sassa urgently addressing the issue of long lasting Management appointments along with the shortage of staff at most nearby places of work.
